The Water and Sewerage Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (WASA) provides water and sewage services to residents and communities throughout Trinidad and Tobago. WASA is the country’s largest public utility, serving over 90% of the population with pipe-borne water through private house connections and standpipes. Waste-water services for the majority of the population are provided through a central sewage collection and treatment system or by cesspit-tank soil absorption field systems. WASA’s vision is to be a high quality utility service provider for the people of Trinidad and Tobago and thereafter to be the center of Excellence within the water sector in the Caribbean. Part of its mission is to enable its employees to be motivated and well trained, providing a platform for future growth and delivery of excellence.
